The Blyth Readers

The group has been meeting for the past ten years at BRIC in Blyth. Each month a reader chooses a title and the others purchase/borrow the book. The title, which might be a novel, biography or non-fiction, is introduced by the member and there follows a free-for-all discussion.
The second half (after coffee) is an open discussion on a topic of the day. It is a lively group of fourteen active readers - mostly mature women (and one man). There is plenty of laughter and the discussions are never too earnest. We meet on the last Friday morning of every month and we have a summer break in August and a winter recess in December.
Recent titles include:
The Girl with the Dragon Tattoo by Stieg Larsson
Never Let Go by Kasuo Ishiguro
Noah's Compass by Anne Tyler
